Using the Royal mail service you can keep track of your item until it arrives at its destination.
To access this data,you need to enter your reference number into the official post office website and find out the localization of your package.
Where do you find this number?
The reference number contains between 9 and 27 numbers and it will allow you to localize your items along the way into its destination. In case you have lost your ticket, you won't be allowed to track your package online.
If you have lost your receipt, the online tracking system won't be available, but you will be allowed to use your personal details to locate your item by calling the post office.
Depending on the status of the package, there will be different messages you may observe:
- "We are expecting it" - This means that your item is still in the sender's possession and ready to be picked up.
- When your item is at the Post Office and ready to be handled.- "We've got it"
- "Your item was posted at the Royal Mail customer service mail" - This message means that your item is in the Royal Post office network and it will include a location.
- "Internal exception occured" - this message appears when there are some system issues. In this case, you should try to log in later and try again.
- When your item is on its way. - "In transit" (It will include a location.)
- "Pending" - This message means that there are possible pending payments or steps to complete before to complete the delivery.
- Once your package is at the local post office near your district. - "Ready for delivery"
- "Your item was delivered " - The item has been delivered to its destination.
- If your item will be delivered on the next working day. - "Retention item"
- "We could not retrieve your details" - This message will appear when system issues occur. Try again later.
- "Collected" - The item has been collected from the local post office.
